Guatemala (Continued)

Even in these early stages of preparing for my trip, God is showing his faithfulness. We have goals that we need to meet in order to get everything set in place, it can all be quite overwhelming when you look at it through human eyes. Our finances have not been very good, we’ve had to borrow money from Jump Around just get groceries for our family and in obviousness- we can not afford this trip. I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out how I could make $100 in time for me to get my passport by last Saturday (the goal set so we can get them in time)- it was impossible! We are in the red, and every penny Cris makes goes in to insuring we keep the house and keep us fed- there was no possible way! I was going to donate plasma to make some extra money, it wouldn’t be enough though- and my cold took another turn so that was out of the question. Anyhow, last Tuesday morning in my quiet time with God, he lead me to Psalm 27:14 that says, “Wait on the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” That made me feel a bit better and that he was telling me to just stop worrying and let him do his work. Well, that night I went to Doxa and as I was making my rounds to say good bye, the new leader that just moved up here from Guatemala  took me aside. She was thinking about me all week and wanted to help me out, she encouraged me again saying that God would take care of everything and not to worry- then she wrote me a check for…(you guessed it)..$100! Can you believe that?! God is soooo good! So, I went in to start the process on getting my passport. If that weren’t enough, I went to our last mission meeting and got the update on money sent in from support letters. Another $100! Whoever say’s God is not faithful and anything less that wonderful- has just got to crazy! I love watching how God reveals himself- he’s absolutely amazing!
