Fun with Art!

When Keirsten and I were down in Everett on our Special Birthday Trip we made a fun little purchase at the Museum. There was a section that had some fun, cheap little momentos that I thought would be fun to have as a reminder of our time together. She ended up choosing an artist’s pallet so she could pretend like it was makeup… “pretend” like it was make up, sounds innocent enough right? Wrong! When we got home and I was laying on the couch to unwind a bit from the long drive home, Keirsten… Continue reading

Princess Kiki’s Birthday Trip!

So for Keirsten’s 5th birthday we decided to do a special overnight pamper party with just her and I, what a fabulous time we had! We started off Tuesday morning and went down to the Bellingham Public Library where they were holding a Fancy Nancy Party. Kiki’s lookin’ fancy!

Keirsten was just introduced to wonderful world of “Fancy Nancy”- we decided to check out some of the books before we jumped into the workshop at the Bellingham Public Library on Tuesday. Let me just say that I’m not the “fanciest” gal in town- but you gotta read these books! Any little princess would say it is a definite must have! Anyhow, Keirsten decided she wanted to make her hair “fancy” too.  What a beautiful little princess we have! She is absolutely stupendous! (That’s a fancy way of … Continue reading

Bus Trip

It’s Free Fare Week for the WTA, so we decided to give it a shot as a family. It was a lot easier than I thought, the route we took was from up in Sudden Valley directly to the train station downtown (with stops along the way, of course) we didn’t have to switch buses at all. After we got to the train station we walked to the Bellingham Public Library where the kids exchanged movies and books (Kaety got 14 chapter books and is on her 3rd one- she’s a reading machine). Then we walked around to… Continue reading

Birthday Party for the Ugandan Children

Jump Around had the special priviledge on Monday to host a birthday party for the Children of Uganda. Because they are orphans, many of them don’t even know their birthday and have never had a birthday party. Lani Swanson and I arranged for the kids of our Home School Co-op to come help us celebrate, they had to pay their way in and we asked for a donation towards the many orphans that were in emergency situations- instead of gifts. All the kids had a great time playing on the inflatables and… Continue reading
