Yesterday was amazing, Lord. We made sandwiches that Chelsea’s group got to distribute to a school. They gave them to the older kids because the teachers were telling them that these families don’t have enough money to feed all their kids so they feed the little ones and the older kids have to go without. That is so sad to me!
Then we went to 2 different elementary schools where Kassie, Taylour, Isaac and Miranda all gave their testimonies and Hannah and Soleil shared the gospel. They all did so good, I am so proud of them! Overall, there were about 500 decisions made to follow you, Lord. So amazing!!!
After lunch we got to come rest for a bit, then it was off to the festival. What an amazing night that was! When we got up on that stage to dance, you truely showed up. During “Inside Out”- you peeled back the clouds and let then sun shine through- it was breathtakingly beautiful! Such a reminder that you are the light in the darkness, you came into that broken land and brought forth your light to shine hope in that place. There were about 100 decisions made, including two gangsters and a prostitute! Only you God, could do that!
Today was AMAZING! We thought we would be visiting schools again today but at the last minute we were put with the medical clinic, and I’m so glad we did! We got to check people into see Dr. Garret and his wife, Sarah, who is the dentist. Then they could get their eyes checked with their son, Caleb. What a great family! After they were done, I would have a chance to pray with them. I love watching my girls get in there and help people, they did amazing! Also, Reid was there for a little bit and it must have been your leading cause he just got up and preached the gospel to the entire waiting room- 35 made decisions for you, plus 2 more that Miranda and I got to lead right before that.
After the medical clinic, we drove over to the festival where the rest of the team was. The minute we stepped out of the van, Brian called us to the stage to begin our dances. All the guys from the team came to the van to provide a security escort to the stage…. kinda funny, but much appreciated because of the very sketchy part of town we were in. Deanna got to share her testimony and after watching her all day at the medical clinic and then giving her testimony, needless to say- it was very hard to hold back the tears. I am so proud of who she has become!
