Day 6 (July15th)

Oh wow, I am exhausted! I need you more today than any day before, I think. We went late alst night, and I didn’t get to sleep till about 1:00… and had to get up at 5:40. I truely recognize that I can’t do today without you coming in to fill me up.
Yesterday was a turning point in the trip. We went to 3 schools each in the morning and then got some time to rest in the afternoon. I took my free time to first write encouragement notes to the medical team and Ruth and Brett. Then I went upstairs for some rest. I layed there for a while, I probably slept maybe 10 minutes when all of a sudden I felt someone shaking my leg to wake up. I woke up expecting that I’d see Leilani or Tara telling me it was time to go. Instead, I saw no one. Thinking I was crazy, I decided I would just lay there for a while and not sleep cause I needed to get downstairs soon. Pretty soon I was thinking about my testimony and what I would say if I got the opportunity. I began going over my old routine, my story up untill 3 years ago… but you had other plans for me. You nudged for me to give a brief overview of my childhood and then put the focus on the last 3 years. After coming up with a new game plan, I thought, “I may not even get a chance on this trip, there are a lot of students and it’s more important for them to get the experience.” LOL! Well, after I went downstairs and Brian and Chelsea got back from the mall (and forgetting my coffee!) they called me over to tell me that I would be giving my testimony at the festival on the last night!!! You have such a great sense of humor in bringing forth your plan. As if that weren’t enough, when we got back from the festival, Tara and I shared and compared our stories and I was able to encourage her with some hope for her marriage. Amazing and so beautiful! And as if that weren’t enough- Brian told me that the lady from the tv station asked for me to come to the studio to be on her show!!
Lord, you are amazing! I am so honored to serve you and bring glory to your name. I am completely humbled that you use me and my story to bring glory to your name. I love that you can use the most broken parts of my life, the most painful, to speak to others and bring them into your presence. It’s such an honor and a privilege!
