Do not worry

Do Not Worry

25“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

It’s just that easy, right? Yeah, sure.

This was the topic for Pastor Grants message this weekend, little did he know that we would be tested with that very thing this week. This has been a pretty tight summer for Jump Around and the families it’s suppose to be supporting. We have kept afloat by the increase in inflatable rentals and birthday parties but our walk-ins are slim to none on the sunny days. We praise God for every rental, birthday party and bless that family that comes in even when it’s scorching hot inside our facility. When most people dread the rainy season ahead, we are hootin and hollarin for the rain to fall. We can definetly see the silver lining in those clouds. We know its coming and we know things will get better, we have that faith…but. Things have hit an all time low and we are feeling the pinch, the guys are looking for other jobs and all of us (owners) are going to have to increase our hours at Jump Around and begin cutting hours from our employees- just so we can make money for our families. It really sucks and at times we wonder how much longer it will be for God to intervene… any time now, Lord. It takes everything we have to not lose ourselves in the worry. It’s a good thing we know our God.

Faith is not a feeling, it is a choice! Although it is extremely hard at times, we need to choose to believe that God will see us through this storm. We need to choose to believe that he will provide for our families and choose to believe that he will not leave us or forsake us. If worse comes to worse, we still have our family and we still have our faith and we still have a great and mighty God. May He be praised in any and every circumstance.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
