Lord, what an amazing morning! Today went a whole lot smoother than yesterday at the festival. We danced at the skate park and then hung hout at the main stage until we were on again. Lauren got to join us for “icontact” and the girls did “reflections” right before my testimony. I was extremely nervous but thought it went pretty well. There were tons of people there and as I looked right down in front of the stage I knew this was a divine appointment! There was a huge group of teenage girls! I love when you reveal yourself with the perfect plan. I don’t know that it impacted them at all or anyone else for that matter but I trust that you know what you were doing and I can only hope that you use what you did in my life to touch the hearts of others. I’m sure that you got the glory in it though, Lord, and that’s all that matters.
The Festival was great- your kingdom grew today! It is sad to think that this is our last day of ministry, though.
After lunch (chicken noodle soup after 2 attempts with raw hamburgers) we headed out to the Hot Springs. Lot’s of windy roads- SCAREY! Guatemalan bus drivers are so crazy! I got a bit frustrated on the way there- some of the kids had their ipods on and the songs they were listening to were extremely innapropriate! “Blame it on the alcohol”, “I kissed a girl” – Did they really just get done putting on an evangelist festival for God and then go right back into doing the same ‘ol stuff they did before this trip- all within a few hours? Argh! So frustrating! Lord, I pray right now against the enemies foothold! These kids have blown us away all week and I refuse to let the enemy get his way now! No Way! I’m so glad Brian addressed it tonight when we got back to the hotel. He was a whole lot more civil than I would have been. I think he got the point across and everyone went straight to be after our meeting. I just pray that things are different in the morning. I’m excited to have our talk about preparing to go back home.
I have to say that the Hot Springs was pretty cool though- beautiful scenery everywhere! It was at set between this range of mountains and there was this lush jungle-type setting… absolutely breathtaking! I decided to opt-0ut of swimming… it seemed a bit unclean to me and just wasn’t in the mood to interact much after the ride up I guess. Lauren and I did head down to watch David Chapman get baptized in the hot spring water, though. Now that was cool to see! The guy who was an athiest the entire time we were preparing for this trip- he could lead someone to Christ but didn’t believe for himself. Until he came to Guatemala- he came down to visit some friends two weeks before we headed down and during his time here with his friends, you took hold of his heart, Lord, and he hasn’t been the same! You are truely amazing God and I’m so glad I got to see this important part of his life! Praise you, Lord!
