Day One (July 10th)

Thank you Lord, for your unending faithfulness! I can’t believe that I’m actually here! But after almost 30 hours of planes and airports- we finally reached our destination. We got in late last night around 11:30 and I got up at 5:30 to start getting ready.

This place is beautiful, Lord! Not the man made stuff, so much as the landscaping. Just looking out over our balcony this morning gives a beautiful picture of your glory. Its as if all the buildings and landfills and houses are all the things we as humans do and try so hard at perfecting. Then you look up beyond all that and see the untouched, unending beauty you’ve created. We can’t even measure up to a glimpse of you. That’s how magnificent you are! “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and snow come down from heaven and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yeilds seed for the sower and bread for the eater. So is my word that goes out from my mouth; It will not return to me empty, but I will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace, the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thournbush will grow the pine tree and instead of the briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lords renown for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed.” Isaiah 55:8-13 Thank you for your word this morning, Lord. Be with Brian this morning as he prepares to preach at church this morning. Give him clarity in your vision and direction and may he be sensitive to your leading. Send forth your word through him today and may it not return to you empty. Prepare the hearts and minds of those listening and speak to heir hearts. Be with our team today and begin transforming their lives. Amen!
