Guatemala Mission Trip- Day Six

July 30th- “Come, let’s consider your options.” says the Lord. “Though your sins have stained you like the color red, you can become white like snow; though they are as easy to see as the color scarlet, you can become white like wool.” Isaiah 1:18 (Cris’ verse of the day)

Lord, today was truely amazing- I feel like I’ve said that every day. It’s so true though! This morning we went to three different schools; the group I went with was awesome! We had the Unshaken 2 group to do their skit, no other group was doing a skit or dance, we were just going to play some games with the kids and share the gospel. When we got there, there was a group of volunteers painting the bathroom- they were white so right away we were a bit curious as to who they were. I went to talk to them and found out they were Danish and were there to learn spanish as well as do some community service work. So we were also preaching to them because the bathroom was right next to where we were. How Cool is that! You are so good!

Christine and I started taking pictures of some of these kids. I found one girl who reminded me of Keirsten- she obviously dressed herself with her overly big tank top that drooped down a bit low, her stylish jeans that were bunched up on the legs from her very cute cowgirl boots. Her hair was in two braids and the hair bands had cute little cars on them. She was soooo cute! Another girl whose name was Susi, couldn’t stop hugging me and holding my hand. She gave me her pink princess ring and in return I gave her the ring that Keirsten gave me- I figured Keirsen would think it was a good trade for her. She’ll love it!

After lunch we headed out to a church that was affiliated with Compassion International. We did “icontact” and the unshaken 2 team did their drama. We played with the kids and Alyssa gave the gospel and invitation. How cool it was to watch her do that! Proud Momma moment!
