Fill me up, Lord

I love when God shows off his amazing providence and provides even the smallest detail! Tuesday I went to go pick up Deanna Bailey (a gal from Doxa and the grandaughter of Cris’ mentor) to head off to practice for Doxa Dance Team. I was a bit nervous as the gas tank was just about empty but it was enough to get us to town. So I decided to go get Deanna and we would go get gas later. Well, as we were heading out the door, Jim (Deanna’s Grandfather and Cris’ mentor) stopped me to give me some gas money. I hate taking gas money from people, especially when they are on my way to where I’m going and even though I told him it wasn’t necessary he made me take it anyway. I figured I would just put it in our account and call it good. Well, when Deanna and I went to the gas station later on, I found that my debit card wouldn’t work (insufficient funds) and I had no other way to pay for gas. Hmmmm…. but I did have $20 that Jim had just given me for gas. Funny how that worked, huh? Jim had no way of knowing that our account was overdrawn and that I would need that $20 that very night, he had no idea that if he hadn’t been obedient to God’s nudging that I would have been stuck in town (afterall, I had the only vehicle we can drive so Cris couldn’t have come to get me).  God is so good!
