A Weekend of Blessings!

I am going to try to  write about things that have happened in the past few months that we believe God used to show his provision. This weekend, though, was a huge show of blessing one right after another so I want to share that with you before I forget.

So, Friday night I went to Jump Around to work for Sarah (she had to pick up Isaiah from his first school dance) and both Matt and Cris had deliveries throughout the night. I hadn’t worked in a REALLY long time and I wasn’t quite sure what I was doing half the time. The basic party (that I checked in wrong) had come to an end and I brought the dad his invoice, as he was looking it over he asked if he could leave me a tip…… I know, dumb question. I said, “sure! But you don’t have to.” He ended up leaving me a $25.00 tip…. on  a basic party…. I didn’t do anything! Thank you, Jesus!

Well, that night we had a wind storm and Saturday morning we found a huge tree had fallen over in our yard. It fell just inches away from our shed and about a foot away from our house! The Lord is truely watching out for us!  Just the slightest bit of change in the way the wind blew would have been a disaster! Praise the Lord!

So if that weren’t enough- we went to Trunk-or-Treat at our church (a whole story in itself) and when we got back home, there was an orange envelope on our front door. Inside was a halloween card from our “friendly ghost friends” with a gift certificate to Fred Meyer for a very hefty amount! I have no idea who it’s from, we do know that they would have to be someone that knows me and not so much Cris- cause they spelled his name wrong. W e know it’s not the point to figure it out but just to enjoy God’s gift through a true servant. Thank you “ghostly friends” and Thank you, Jesus! Once again, the Lord provides in mysterious ways.

Oh- we’re not through yet! We’ve been getting really low on dog food and knew that we would need to figure out funds to get some more (which with our new gift certificate we could have done). Yesterday, our neighbor came by with a bag of dog food! She got a two for one deal and her dog doesn’t go through food very fast so she wanted to give the extra bag to us. Isn’t God just awesome! The even funnier part is that she is not a believer (as far as we know)! It just shows that God can use ANYONE to do his work and bless people. What a mighty God we serve!

So that is our update on this weekend, I’m sure I will be writing again soon. So many blessings have been happening, I have so much more to share! Talk to you soon!
