I’m not sure what titles to add to my entries any more… it’s all blessings, blessing after blessing, blessings blessings blessing…. and more blessings!
I took Deanna (one of my Doxa gals) to watch Cheerfest yesterday (I got to see some of my former Jubilee gals perform- that was pretty cool). Afterwards, we both came back to my house and Cris and I got ready and headed out for a much needed and overdue date, Deanna stayed with the kids. Such a blessing!
One of our employees gave Cris a $10 gift card to Khol’s to give to me, so we decided to kill some time before our movie started and head over there to take a look. $10 at Khol’s doesn’t seem like much to most, but what you don’t know is that I’ve been needing some “undergarments” for quite some time and that was just what I used that card for. So, that was a great start to our date! We then went to watch “The Christmas Carol” which was very well done but I don’t know that our kids will ever see it- even I got scared at times (okay, I jumped three times). After that we decided to head to Jekyl and Hyde’s for dinner, they have the best Nacho’s in town (aside from AppleBee’s of course) and their pretty nicely priced. So, as we were enjoying our dinner, some of Sarah’s (our friend and co-owner of Jump Around) family came. Which was funny because we’ve met them there for dinner a few times with the Robison’s. Anyhow, as we were wrapping up our dinner and getting ready to go, the owner came to our table and informed us that Sarah’s uncle paid for our meal so we didn’t owe anything. Isn’t that sweet? Our God is so creative and so good and I feel completely spoiled! We may be considered dirt poor by the worlds standards, but we have got to be one of the richest families when it comes to God’s blessings! He has been so faithful to us and I just love sharing all that he’s doing!
If you could be praying, we only have till the 30th to get our house sold, otherwise we fall into foreclosure and the auction date is still set for December 11th. We don’t get any money out of the short-sell but we would rather have a short-sell go on our credit report than a foreclosure. We also are hoping to find a place to move in to before Christmas- they won’t kick us out during the holidays but it would still be nice to “make our selves at home” and enjoy Christmas and not worry about packing up and keeping the house picked up. Ya know? So, if you know of any houses for rent below $1000/month that has somewhat of a yard and allows dogs- please let us know!
Thank you for all your prayers everyone- we truely do appreciate them!
