July 28th- “So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (Cris’ verse of the day)
Lord, this verse was just what I needed this morning! This was the verse I clung to during my last days at DFJ and after my time with the team last night I see what you are trying to show me. I think I’m finally reaping because I did not give up. Thank you, Lord, for your timing and faithfulness and word of confirmation.
Heavenly Father, I am so excited for today! We are going to 12 different schools to share the gospel with a bunch of kids from all ages. We have been split into 4 teams and each team will go to a different school to do their skit/dance, play a game with the kids, share a testimony and give the gospel and invitation to Christ. I am on team #1 as the M.C. (I run the show and introduce everyone) along with the dance team, Reid Saunders, Lauren Neustal, Sam Moncreif and Brett Bernard. We get the coolest interpreter, her name is Gabi and she is the sweetest person and my new Guatemalan friend- I love her!
I am so blown at the fact that I am here in Guatemala, with my dance gals- my students for 5/6 years- as a dance team, sharing our gift and love for you, God, with the people of Guatemala! God, you are so good! Thank you, Lord, for the amazing talk and prayer time we had last night as a team. We needed that time of reflection to look at where we’ve been and where you’ve taken us. It’s amazing to see how you’ve brought us all together for this one amazing purpose. We are so excited to be your servants, here to do your work.
We also came to the realization that you are calling us to a higher level of worship. To give our all and not hold back! Lord, give us your courage as we step out in obedience. We want to worship you with all that we have and all that you’ve given us. Forgive us, Lord, for not giving you our everything- when you poured out your everything for us. I love you, Lord, and I never want to be embarrased or ashamed of stepping out in obedience to you. I want to live my life souly for you and live to please you and you alone. I praise you, Father, for who you are all you’ve done! Amen.
